Since my sisters and I reached adulthood, my family has been scattered literally beyond the horizon. Both of my sisters have lived most of their married lives overseas, in the Soloman Islands to be exact. They work for Wycliffe Bible Translators and have been working for quite some time in that Third World locale to translate the New Testament into the natives' language.
Needless to say, it's been a rare event to have the whole clan together for one event, but this past Christmas we were finally able to pull it off! We met up in Dallas and enjoyed a lot of catchup and good times.
Dallas has a fast-food chain called Steak and Shake, which rivals In-n-Out for burgers, fries and shakes. We had a good lunch there one afternoon, warmed by the good food and fellowship while the midwestern temps outdoors hovered in the mid-thirties.
Here are some shots as we waited on our orders:

Riverside County Courthouse
Here in Riverside we have a landmark building that serves as the County Courthouse and has been the set for a number of movies that need a 1920's feel. It's a very pretty building.

Happy Valentines' Day!
Mackenzie's second grade class had a Valentines Day celebration, full of goodies and gift giving. It was fun to have the day off and get to see it and capture it!

Sara's Soccer Match
I was invited to watch a soccer match between rivals King and Poly. Sara is in one of my history classes and plays goalie for King. The game turned out to be a tie score, and here are some images from the action.

Lucas
Had the opportunity to shoot my nephew, Lucas, who'll be graduating from King High this June. It was a fun time and also got some shots of his family while we were at it!
